Garden the City 2012: Painting with Edibles (GtC2012)
Garden the City 2012 will promote sustainability by demonstrating the ease by which individuals can create beautiful gardens to grow their own food, flowers and herbs. GtC 2012 will provide classroom and hands-on education through the installation of ecological gardens and wildlife habitat. Examples to be installed in the Bloomington Entertainment and Arts District will include a Formal Garden, an Eastern Woodland Garden, and wildlife habitat in addition to other themed gardens. GtC2012 is a project of the Center for Sustainable Living.

Permaculture + Potager
Playfulness marries the historic French Potager food garden with the regeneration potential of Permaculture design. In this 4 part class, you will have serious fun creating your own design for elegant living. This is a beautiful solution to having an abundant food garden that both you and your neighbors will adore with it’s beauty and it’s delicious productivity!
The goal of this class is to teach introduction to the basics of permaculture design, integrating it into the formal potager style. There is a lot of change going on in the world today, and the best way to adapt to all of this change is to… play! No kidding. From neuroscience comes the recent discovery that play is a key to adaption and survival in difficult times. Therefore, integrated into the class are daily activities that are proven to help you find more happiness by the end of four weeks.
