All our progress is an unfolding, like a vegetable bud.
You have first an instinct, then an opinion, then a
knowledge as the plant has root, bud, and fruit. Trust
the instinct to the end, though you can render no reason.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson

All services, listed below, will utilize the principles of permaculture and use all natural or organic methods. Optimum abundance is the goal, and can be had by harvesting for most of the year with appropriate selection of plants, interplanting, timing of sowing, and the addition of cold frames. Dietary restrictions, soil condition, extended harvest times and the use of perennials in the garden are items taken into consideration to provide variety and the most nutrient dense food possible. Soil drought tolerance and good drainage is also planned for as springs become increasingly wet, and summers increasingly dry.

Workshops
The application of holistic design emphasizes integration of uses, thoughtful use of technology and dual systems. When contemplating making these changes, it is likely that we feel overwhelmed with where to begin.
Jami teaches workshop classes that cover both design and application, as well as classes that teach homesteading skills such as sewing, various food preservation techniques, rain barrel construction and set-up, raised bed growing systems, butter and yogurt making, keeping chickens and ducks, sauerkraut making, and other skills.
